Camp Horizon offers children with chronic dermatologic conditions the opportunity to experience summer camp and support each other in a setting of acceptance, love and fun.

The camp was established in 1994 and the first camp was held in the summer of 1995. This initial venture hosted 18 children for a four-day camp with a staff of about 15 volunteers. Since that time, the camp has expanded to a full week and has grown to over 80 campers and a staff of more than 65 volunteers.

Camp Horizon takes place from Saturday to Saturday in mid-August at Camp Victory in Millville, PA. The 35-acre campsite features 10 sleeping cabins, a large mess hall, outdoor activity pavilions, a fishing and paddleboat pond, a low-ropes course, a pool and a fully equipped infirmary.

Funding for Camp Horizon comes from many sources including private donations, pharmaceutical companies, service organizations, Geisinger Dermatology fund raising events and the Children's Miracle Network Telethon. No tuition is charged for children to attend camp, and transportation costs are covered.
